Terms & Conditions

All work must be of original design by the artist submitting the work
Pieces should not exceed 60 inches in any dimension
2D work must be ready to hang with pockets and dowel or flat rods extending one inch beyond the edge of the work
3D work must be free-standing, or submitted with one or more supports

There is no limit on the number of works an artist may submit, but jurors are unlikely to accept more than 2-3 works for any given artist
Artists may schedule one 'Meet the Artist' day during the exhibition; SHAPE Gallery is open W-F 5-8pm and Saturday Noon-4pm.
Delivery Dates: Artwork is expected to be delivered to SHAPE Gallery on Friday or Saturday, September 8 & 9, 2023.
Please contact show admins if arrangements are needed for art requiring special handling or set-up.
Artwork will remain at SHAPE Gallery from installation until exhibit closing date.

SHAPE Gallery and MSWA will make all reasonable efforts to protect consigned artwork from accidental damage
SHAPE Gallery will maintain insurance for accidental damage or breakage, fire, theft, and vandalism. All consigned works will be covered by said insurance while in gallery possession.

SHAPE Gallery and MSWA reserve the right to photograph exhibited artwork for media and promotional purposes for the Listening to Water exhibit until the close of the exhibit.
SHAPE and/or MSWA will use photographed artwork in publications and media presentations after the close of the exhibit ONLY if Artist gives them prior written permission to do so.

Artist will set a retail price for each consigned work. Artwork not for sale (NFS) must be given a value for insurance purposes.
Artist will provide gallery with documentation or information in support of sales upon request.
Artist agrees to commit consigned artwork to the gallery for the duration of the exhibit.
SHAPE Gallery takes a 30% commission on all sales.
Gallery will provide a check payment to artist for 70% of sale price within thirty (30) days following the end of the exhibit.

Gallery will make all reasonable efforts to close sales of consigned artwork.
Unsold work should be claimed, by the artist or their authorized agent, by Thursday October 26, 2023, at SHAPE Gallery.
SHAPE Gallery will notify artists of unsold artwork via email not more than ten (10) days after of the end of exhibit.
Artist agrees to retrieve any unsold artwork with thirty (30) days following the end of the exhibit.
Any artwork unclaimed after ninety (90) days following the end of exhibit will be considered a donation and become the property of SHAPE.
