Statement

Photography being my preferred medium, Large format, Medium Format, 35mm and digital cameras, antiques to DSLR, pinhole & paper negatives. I choose the camera and seek out the subject. Sometimes things go as planned other times... well not so much. Some years ago I became interested in waterdrop collision photography. I sit in my studio trying for the perfect collision or splash. It is exciting when things start aligning and splashes become sort of consistent. No two are the same, then when you look at the images your mind creates similarities like a person dancing or beautiful mushrooms. Liquid becomes a human form and a human coexists with water in a temporary pool in the desert. I am asked often what my favorite this to shoot is. I generally hesitate at that answer.... much like my taste in music it depends on my mood. The world is full of beautiful and amazing opportunities for photography. Everything is just one "Click" away.
